1 Day Ketamine Experiential for Clinicians

**All participants will need to complete a medical clearance appointment with Clarity Integrative Psychiatry.  Medical clearance appointment fee to be paid separately and directly to Clarity.

1 Day Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy Experiential is intended for mental health clinicians to have a personal encounter with ketamine as a medicine and healing practice.  Through partnership with Dr. Naveen Thomas, we will utilize an intermuscular (injection in the muscle) approach in a group dosing setting.  The group will received preparatory information and a meditation practice prior to the medicine experience.

This is an optimal opportunity for clinicians who are currently working with clients in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy AND for clinicians who are curious about ketamine and would like to gain knowledge and experience in order to make informed referrals for clients.

Requires an intake appointment with Clarity Integrative Psychiatry for medical clearance.

Agenda:

• 10.00 – 10.30 – Opening circle, introductions, BP check
• 10.30 – 11.10 – Basics of ketamine as a medicine; ketamine use in psychotherapy, preparation for what to expect in the medicine session, questions and answers
• 11.10 – 11.45 – IFS based guided meditation
• 11.45 – 12.00 – Bathroom break
• 12.00 – 2.00 – Medicine session using ketamine IM
• 2.00 – 2.45 – Lunch
• 2.45 – 3.15 – Time for walk, stretching, journaling, drawing, personal reflections
• 3.15 – 4.00 – Small group integration
• 4.00 – 4.30 – Large group sharing circle
• 4.30 – 5.00 – Ethical issues in psychedelic medicine
• 5.00 – 5.30 – Conversations about referral possibilities
• 5.30 – 5.45 – Closing circle
• 5.45 – End of the formal retreat day

Please note participants may not drive after the retreat. Participants may either get a ride back home or stay overnight on location. A self-attestation is included in the application form specifying post-retreat travel arrangements.
